Dumb charades

I woke up this morning to a video posted by many of my friends on Facebook- a video called Dumb Charades. What starts out as a cute family ad, however, quickly morphs into something that you would like to wish away- a tale of child sexual abuse.

True, the subject isn't new but there is a poignancy with which the director handles the issue, primarily because he doesn't take recourse to using jargon. The story is told as the child is best equipped to tell it, as part of a game, through his actions. It's hard to capture the effect that the ad has, in words, but it does serve as a stark reminder of how vulnerable children are and how parents can be caught off guard.
